The Gulf Islands School District supports our programs through use of their facilities and resources. Three of our board members are employees of the school district.
The Saturna Ecological Education Centre (SEEC) is an experiential, place-based ecological learning centre on beautiful Saturna Island, British Columbia.
The Salt Spring Conservancy works with us and Fulford Community Nature School, in partnership, to bring educational stewardship programs to the children of Salt Spring Island. One of our board members is on the Education Committee of the Conservancy.
The Mayne Island Conservancy has been a co-sponor and supporter of GICEL led events on Mayne Island and its mission and vision is compatible with the
long term intent of GICEL.
The Galiano Conservancy’s excellent Forest to Sea program fits the GICEL philosophy of connecting people to the Earth. Rather than offer new programming on Galiano, we recommend the conservancy’s programs for those who are interested in programs on Galiano. One of our board members also sits on the conservancy board.
The Institute is committed to acting to raise the quality of human interaction towards peace and sustainability and supports the GICEL philosophy. One of our board members is the founder of the institute.
